The theater is a beautifully designed theater tent on the grounds of Boscobel House and Gardens on the bank of the Hudson. The backdrop to the productions is the magnificent Hudson Highlands. The theater seats 540 in a three sided horseshoe arrangement. The tent allows us to perform in all weathers, rain or shine!
Parking, picking up tickets and picnicking
You may arrive at Boscobel up to two hours before the start of the performance. Upon arrival, you must stop at the Box Office, which is located in the yellow, one-story Carriage House at Boscobel, to pick up your tickets. Then, you can tour the grounds, enjoy a picnic dinner with family or friends, and enjoy the magnificent views of the Hudson Highlands and the Hudson River. After your picnic you may store your picnic basket and lawn furniture under the tent risers.
There’s a short walk across the Boscobel grounds, from the parking lot to the theater tent.
The Carriage House also houses the Boscobel Gift Shop and restrooms, with a special needs accessible restroom available. There are also comfortable restrooms and a further accessible restroom at the theater tent.
If you need assistance getting from the parking area to the tent, please let the Box Office know when you call to order your tickets. We can arrange for transportation across the site in a golf cart or wheelchair, with advance notice.
Plan on arriving at least 15 minutes before the show, so you have time to park, collect tickets, and enjoy the walk and the views on the way to the tent.
