, as the founding Artistic Director of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, has directed HVSF's productions of All's Well That Ends Well, Henry V, The Merchant of Venice, Measure for Measure, Titus Andronicus, Macbeth, The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, As You Like It, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Tartuffe, and The Winter's Tale, as well as HVSF's winter productions, A Child's Christmas in Wales, and 'Tis the Season... for Shakespeare! presented at the Phillipstown Depot Theatre in Garrison. He directed A Midsummer Night's Dream for the first annual Stratford Arts Commission Shakespeare Season in Stratford, Connecticut.
He directed Streamers for the Los Angeles Performers Theater, The Caretaker at the American Conservatory Theatre Studio in San Francisco, and the premieres of The Dolly and Hostel Witness at the 29th Street Project in New York City. He has taught acting and directed student work at A.C.T. and The Juilliard School.He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and received advanced training in acting and directing at A.C.T. He and his wife, Jane Praeger, live in Manhattan with their daughter Jenne and son Leo.
