All students and teachers who participate in the Festival’s education programs receive coupons for discounted theater tickets to the Festival’s summer productions at Boscobel.
Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival Education Programs are designed in accordance with the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts.
HVSF actors and directors will engage students in Shakespeare’s plays, other classics or modern plays through the lens of a professional theatre company. Workshops are designed for a maximum of 30 students and include:

Grade Levels: Grades 4 - College
When: dates available year-round; subject to availability
Cost: the cost for Students on Stage ranges from $250.00 - $750.00 per day depending on the number of classes served.
Pre-workshop planning with teacher(s) and materials included. HVSF professional actors and directors are also available to help with in-class, after-school or community productions.

When: The season runs from approximately the second week in May to the first weekend in September. Exact 2007 dates T.B.A.Where: Five weeks of rehearsal in New York City. Twelve weeks of performance and rehearsal in Cold Spring, New York.
Expenses: Transportation, room and board in New York City for five weeks of rehearsal. All housing while in Cold Spring, New York and all Apprentice Program classes are free.
Stipends: All apprentices will receive a stipend of $100 per week.
Performance Opportunities: All apprentices are cast in both main stage productions in small roles, which provide an amazing opportunity for young artists to work further with experienced theater professionals. This is purely a performance apprenticeship.
Equity Points: All apprentices are given the opportunity to receive Equity Membership Candidate (EMC) points by enrolling in AEA EMC program. For more information: www.actorsequity.org/membership/emc.asp.
