Kurt recently directed Romeo and Juliet at Westchester Community College. He has worked at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival for 12 seasons. He has directed productions there of The Comedy of Errors and The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Some favorite roles at HVSF include Macbeth, Petruchio, Antony, Tartuffe, Aguecheek, Leontes, Sir Anthony and Benedick. Kurt has appeared in regional theatres around the country. Some of those highlights are: Fiction and Dinner with Friends at the Old Globe; How I Learned to Drive and Agamemnon and his Daughters at Arena Stage; Arcadia at Playmakers’ Rep; Richard III at The Shakespeare Theatre and Skylight at Capital Rep. He appeared on Broadway in Julius Caesar with Denzel Washington. The previous year he went with a two-man show, Horse Country, to Australia and the Netherlands. Kurt went to Kansas City Rep this winter for a production of King Lear. This spring he worked on a film, High Street Plumbing, directed by Doug Schachtel. He has performed with Nance Williamson in 51 plays. He is a founding member of TrueNorth Theatre Project which is producing The River Play Festival this October.
