In-School Workshops

Fourth Grade and up

►One-day Shakespeare workshops and master classes.

►Shakespeare Residency programs (minimum of 5 days).

►Acting, stage combat and improvisation workshops and residency programs.

Engage students in Shakespeare’s language and characters in a custom-designed program.

Workshops can be held in a classroom, auditorium or comparable space.  Maximum of 40 participants per workshop. Running time is 45 minutes. Workshops are available year-round.

Costs:

  1. Shakespeare workshops are $375 - $635 per day.
  2. Shakespeare Residency programs are $615 per day.
  3. Theater arts workshops are priced upon request.

(Prices reflect 1 - 2 Teaching Artists and 1 – 5 workshops per day.)


School Touring Production

Much Ado About Nothing
Directed by Christopher V. Edwards

Sixth grade and up

Our 2014 production is Much Ado About Nothing – Shakespeare’s beloved comedy where gossip, reputation and the battle of the sexes are front and center in the public forum of the digital age.

Includes a post-show talkback. Performance can be held in a school auditorium, theater or comparable space and has basic technical needs. Maximum audience size of 500 people per performance. Running time is 90 minutes.

HVSF will tour from March 24 – May 2, 2014. Performances can be booked seven days a week, either during the school day or in the evening.

Cost:

$1,925 for one performance/$3,200 for two performances in a single day.

 

HVSF's program is part of Shakespeare for a New Generation, a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
