Access Shakespeare
Our 2012 touring production will be Romeo and Juliet. Join our professional actors as they bring this dynamic, fully-staged production to your school with an eye toward accessibility. This contemporary production will shine new light on the epic tragedy of passionate, star-crossed teenagers overpowered by a love that supersedes social expectations and family loyalties.
This abridged production of Romeo and Juliet is appropriate for students in sixth grade and beyond, and runs for approximately 90 minutes without an intermission. Afterwards, join our cast of professional actors in a group "talkback" as the actors discuss the artistic process, themes and characters in the play, enabling your students to voice their personal points of view and questions about the play. Schools that participate will receive a comprehensive study guide to the play.

Free Will
Professional actors, directors and playwrights bring their artistic experience and exceptional skills into your classroom and immerse students in Shakespeare’s plays for a minimum of five days. Our teaching artists help students develop a personal connection to the plays of Shakespeare through process and ensemble-driven theater games that focus on language, body expression and character exploration. Each student is given the opportunity to interact with Shakespeare’s text and themes on a daily basis during the residency.

Length: 45-minute sessions
Grade Levels: Elementary through adult education programs
When: Year-round, subject to availability
Cost: $615/day with two teaching artists (a minimum of 5 days)

Professional actors, directors, playwrights and master teachers bring their talents and teaching expertise to your classroom to guide students’ exploration of the different components that make up the study of theater arts.This program offers teachers and students the opportunity to work with our teaching artists through a series of master classes which include: stage combat, text analysis, acting, directing, and playwriting.

Professional actors, directors and playwrights bring their artistic experience and exceptional skills into your classroom for a one-day Shakespeare workshop. Our teaching artists help students develop a personal connection to Shakespeare's language through group theater games that focus on the relationships and meaning that bring these texts to life. We give each student the opportunity to interact with Shakespeare's words in an ensemble-driven atmosphere that takes the edge off of performance anxiety for students.
